Anyone know of a whiter color for the mesmer's Enchanter armor from droks??
This pic is of my mes with Yellow+Silver+Silver+Silver on the shirt and legs. In the right light it is truely a creamy white color, and other light makes it look egg shell... Suggestions to make it more pure white? (brighter?)
Ya ya, i know the gloves look ugly, sort of a surgeon's plastic glove look...

I was hoping to make my monk FoW armor PURE white... I tried the silver + silver + silver + dye remover and all I got was a wierd brown color on the FoW monk armor..
Here is how my monk looks with silver dye, which looks pretty kool, don't get me wrong, but I wanted it bright white.. if for no other reason then to see what it looks like..

Linsys, would you be interested in loaning me about 15 minutes of your time one day? I would really like to do the 2 Dye mixes on Monk FoW armor.
And it might even help to find your white mix.
If you are interested in helping, let me know.

white dye has a lot of different combinations
some popular ones are:
yellow+silver+silver+silver
blue+silver+silver+silver
dye remover+silver+silver+silver
for any of the combos, you're gonna need 3 silvers

I wasn't going to point this out until we finished the Droknar armors, but I may as well now. I've heard that Ascetic FoW monk armor dyes differently from non-Ascetic FoW armor. We should confirm this, and if it's true we'll need to do 2 charts for Monk FoW armor.
(BTW, I should have the rest of the warrior armor pics for you soon, unless my monk finds a good deal on a staff... I'm trying to split my funds between personal expenses and this project)

I was thinking that that might be the case, since technically like the other monks armors they are made of different materials, so they should Dye differently. A few tests will tell us for sure. Either way I am not too worried, we can handle those specifics as they arrise.

Ok i am a little confused with the simple method of mixing to dyes of the same colour only together. How on earth do i mix silver with just silver? I double clik on my silver dyes, then clik on them again to try and get a mix and ...... nothing? I can't split the same coloured dyes up in my inventory, so I am either missing somthing here or I just don't know? Confused. So I added silver to my armour then another silver on top, but it remains silver as the first post stated. I take it i have to add a different colour first to begin the mix? Any answers on this.

ok djroar i see your problem. first, u can't mix to of the same dyes together. you can however, add two different dyes together and then add the same dye as many times as u would like. the white combo i posted earlier goes like this:
(Silver + Yellow) + Silver + Silver
u have to add the first silver and yellow together before any other silver can be added. Also this has to be done when they are in vials, on armor the dyes replace each other. When u add silver to your armor, u get silver. If u add another silver TO THE ARMOR, u replace the silver that was on there with the silver u just used. got it?

I know that this would be expensive, but I only have 20k and don't want to use it all on this one dye mix. I'm thinking (Black+purple)+black+black.. Would that make it a really dark metallic black? Normal black just isn't good enough for me ^^ By the way, I would be using it on a warrior with 15k platemail armor..
It would be nice if someone tried it and posted a screen

Try just Black+Purple first. If it doesn't work, you're out 7k, if it does, you save 70k by using a cheaper formula. From my experience, mixing three blacks in wouldn't make a noticable difference from pure black.
Good luck getting someone to spend 20k to test it for you, though
Venenatus' explanation is correct. Only think I would like to add is that if you do mix two of the same color together (say, red+red), it looks exactly the same as the component color (it does not make the color brighter like some people speculate). However if you add a different color to the mix it will become different.
By the way, Gaile specifically said last night there is no way to get pure white. So there you have it, all you nay-sayers ^_^

Ok ya'll I have just done some trials and found that you can actually add two of the same dyes together without using anything else. How did i do this, very simply I placed (one) silver dye into storage, then I clicked on another (one) silver in my invintory and added it to the silver (one) in storage and BOOM! Two silvers mixed together by themselves. Now I also noticed that you can actually have the same dye in storage but in seperate boxes. So I suppose you can add them both in there also. Now I know this may change many peoples beleives in dye mixing, but I would hope that this may make way for some better mixes from us all. By the way Silver + Silver remained a silver colour on my 15K plate mail armor and did not turn white as the chart shows, but i have yet to try some other combinations such as dye remover etc. Thanks also to my guild ( TF ) for assisting me.

You could try Red+Blue+Red+Silver. Looking at the pics Red+Blue is a kind of close to pink, so I figure that if you add another Red it will be closer to what you are looking for, and the Silver is there to hopefully brighten it.
But there are no guarntees that the ombination will give you hat you are looking for, but its not too much to spend.
